You built a life here in Norwegian. Now you have to prove it in under half an hour.

Everyday Norwegian never taught you to speak with a timer running and strangers listening.

So you practise out loud, on the exam's own topics and in its three-part format, with feedback on every answer.

About the oral exam

The apps taught you words. Nobody ever made you say them while something depended on it.

The muntlig A2–B1 norskprøve is a 20–25-minute conversation, taken in pairs, about everyday topics — family, health, work, the environment. You need to speak about them with confidence, under pressure.

Memorizing 2,000 random words doesn't help when the examiner asks about your family.

Reading drills don't prepare you to speak under time pressure.

MuntligB1 is built around the exam, start to finish.

If you can't yet form a basic sentence in Norwegian, start somewhere else. This is exam prep, not a beginner course.

The question

«Hva gjør du på fritiden?»

What you said
På fritiden liker jeg å løpe og lese bøker. Jeg løper tre ganger i uka, vanligvis om morgenen. Jeg har begynt å lese norske bøker fordi jeg vil forbedre meg på norsk. Sist uke jeg leste en veldig interessant bok om norsk historie.

Your coaching

💡 You said Sist uke jeg leste — the natural order is Sist uke leste jeg. Norwegian is a V2 language: when a sentence opens with a time phrase, the verb must come before the subject.

💡 You said forbedre meg på norsk — the natural phrase is forbedre norsken min. «På norsk» means "in Norwegian" (the language you speak in), not the skill you're improving.

✅ Good use of fordi with correct word order, and har begynt is exactly right for something you started recently and are still doing.

Why MuntligB1

Why this one and not another app.

01

Built around the speaking exam.

HK-dir doesn't publish an official syllabus. But the exam draws on everyday themes, so we mapped those themes into 13 topics. Each one gives you the words, the sentences, and the speaking practice for that topic — 823 words and 236 sentences in all. 221 of the questions are ones real candidates were asked, taken from what they posted publicly after the exam.

02

AI feedback that's specific.

Not just "good job." Real scoring on fluency, comprehensibility, vocabulary, grammar, and content — plus line-by-line corrections.

03

Free to try. No signup wall.

Practise as long as you want before you decide to sign up. Try it first, decide after.

Walk in knowing what's coming.
Not hoping.

13 topics. A fixed format. Nothing you haven't already practised. So when the examiner asks, the words come out — instead of disappearing.

Try free: speaking practice with AI feedback — no card needed. Then B1 Pass 499 kr or Full Pass 899 kr for B1 + B2 — both cover the oral exam only. One-time payment, no subscription, 60 days of full access. Prices include VAT.
